Krakow, the cultural capital of Poland. The full name of Krakow sounds like this: Capital city of Krakow. And he does justify such a solemn title.

Despite the fact that this large city in the south of Poland has long ceased to be the capital, the dignity and beauty of the main settlement of the country remained in it. And the royal chic here at every step.

Many tourists consider Krakow the most interesting place in Poland. People come here to see the sights, visit the impressive and horrific monuments of World War II and enjoy the amazing architecture of harmony. In addition, there are musical and film festivals, street theater days and other cultural events of a global scale.

Here are the impressions of Chojnacka Julia:

My visit to Cap Ferret Music Festival was also my first time visiting France. Cap Ferret turned out to be an incredible place, beautifully located on the bay Bassin d’Arcachon.

Individual classes took place every day. As a part of my prize I took part in the masterclass conducted by famous violinist Nicolas Koeckert, who played many famous stages throughout the whole word. Nicolas Koeckert is a very energetic and spontaneous person with high musical sensitivity. He showed me many interpretive and stylistic possibilities.

Lessons were conducted in a very nice atmosphere. Nicholas’ observations and comments were very valuable and inspiring. I learned a lot in such a short period of time.

Concerts took place every day as a part of the festival. My recital took place during one of them, for which I played:
– Beriot Charles Caprices 5 op. 109 soloviolin
– Grażyna Bacewicz Kaprys Polski (Polish Caprice) soloviolin
– Adam Andrzejowski Burleska (Burlesque)
– Max Bruch Violin Concerto in G minor op.26 part 1
– Henryk Wieniawski Obertas in G major op. 19 No 1

Stephane Trebuchet accompanied me on the piano.

My performance was met with an amazing reception. I was very pleasantly surprised and moved by such an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. As a confirmation of my good performance I received an invitation from Helen Berger to take part in the gala concert and I performed piece by Grażyna Bacewicz.

I was also invited to take part in an evening concert of Nicolas Koeckert. which was a huge distinction for me. The concert took place in the open air, in a beautiful place on the bay. During that concert I performed Burleska by A. Andrzejowski. Stephane Trebuchet accompanied me on the piano. After the concert I received a lot of positive feedback concerning my abilities, which gave me a lot of pleasure.

During the free time we went walking, we went sightseeing, we spent time on the beach and in the evening we went to concerts.

Winning the Grand Prix in Internet music Competition Belgrad 2018 and taking part in Music Festival in Cap Ferret (France) as a part of my prize was an incredible distinction and a fantastic experience for which I would like to profoundly give my thanks to Helen Berger and all people responsible for organizing such an incredible event. Thank you for such a wonderful prize!

I will forever cherish the memories and experiences from that time. Unfortunately, what is good, ends very quickly.

Here are the impressions of Alexander Rublev:

The trip to the music festival in France in Cap Ferrat brought to me a lot of nice memories. I took part in the master classes with Pierre Dutot and Vladislav Lavrik.

Every day from 10am to lunch there were group and individual trumpet lessons, on which, i, along with other students actively worked and for a short period of time was able to improve my playing skills.

It was a pleasure to attend the rehearsals of the orchestra which i played with and i’ve been very responsible about the parts that i was supossed to play.

At one of the concerts, i presented my small program, performed very good and was pleasantly surprised by the attention and ovations of the public.

Time flew by unnoticed, the festival ended with a finale concert. The organizers included in the program my performance. I performed „Slavic Fantasy“ by Karl Høne. A real gift was Vladislav Lavrik’s proposal to perform a duet with me at this concert! We rehearsed several times, and prepared a duet for the two trumpets playing „Bolero“ by Emile Saint-Saëns.

Time between lessons and rehearsals we spend taking a walks by the sea, cycling, and going to concerts in the evenings.

Cap Ferrat is located on the Atlantic coast, surrounded by pine trees, this is a fantastic place, and this musical festival will remain in my memory for life!

I express my gratitude to Helen Berger and the organizers of the Contest for the opportunity to participate in the International Music Festival Cap Ferret (France) from 7 to 14 July 2017 as part of the prize fund. Thank you very much for such a wonderful prize! (Alexander Rublev)

It was a great pleasure to participate in Masterclasses organised by Pierre Bibault in Lahontan.

Lahontan is a great place, a peaceful village with very friendly and open people.

I had lessons with Bobby Rootveld, Nutavut Ratanakarn, Emiliano Leonardi and of course Pierre Bibaullt. Meeting and practising with those people taught me a lot.

It was a great experience and I’ll never forget amazing concerts they played each evening. Every concert was held in a different town, so it was really interesting that we could not only see Lahontan but also part of Nouvelle-Aquitaine – a beautiful region of France.

Once we also had a trip to Biarritz – a town located by the Atlantic Ocean. It is a wonderful place with amazing views.

At the masterclasses I met a lot of interesting people such as Alexander Kryuchkov with whom I played a duo at the last concert. This was a real teaching experience for me as I favour collaborative music above solo.

Our concert was received very well by the public and this gave us some serious motivation to further work. Due to it we are willing to meet again . This trip to France was a wonderful time spent with amazing people who I’ll never forget!

I express my gratitude to Pierre Bibault and the organizers of the Contest for the opportunity to participate in the LAHONTAN GUITAR International Festival as part of the prize fund (Filip Optołowicz).
