He offers varied programs, ranging from written music to improvisations, often enriched with electronic installations and real-time sound transformations. Among his notable projects are\u00a0<i>Sequences<\/i>\u00a0(a re-exploration of Luciano Berio\u2019s\u00a0<i>Sequenza XI<\/i>, recently recorded on video and to be released in autumn 2024),\u00a0<i>Creations<\/i>\u00a0(commissions of new works),\u00a0<i>Bibault meets Moultaka<\/i>\u00a0(a collaboration with composer Zad Moultaka),\u00a0<i>Mirrors<\/i>\u00a0(highlighting works by Murail, Romitelli, and Dufourt), and\u00a0<i>The Steve Reich Guitar Project<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>This last project made a strong impact in 2021 with the release of the\u00a0<strong>complete works for electric guitar by Steve Reich.<\/strong> Endorsed by the composer himself, the album was praised by the press and has reached over 200,000 streams. Pierre Bibault\u2019s rendition of\u00a0<i>Nagoya Guitars<\/i>\u00a0was included in the official\u00a0<i>Essential Steve Reich<\/i>\u00a0playlist, while his version of\u00a0<strong>Electric Counterpoint\u00a0was voted \u201cbest version\u201d by listeners of the\u00a0Tribune des Internautes\u00a0on France Musique<\/strong>\u00a0in February 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2024, he\u00a0<strong>collaborated with choreographers\u00a0<i>Gerard &amp; Kelly<\/i>\u00a0at the Fondation Maeght<\/strong>\u00a0in a project that fused music and dance, featuring works by Steve Reich, Luciano Berio, and Isaac Alb\u00e9niz.<\/p>\n<p>That same month, he was\u00a0<strong>invited to the prestigious\u00a0<i>Tanglewood Festival<\/i><\/strong>for the\u00a0<i>Contemporary Music Festival week<\/i>, under the auspices of the\u00a0<i>Tanglewood Music Center<\/i>, where he shared his innovative approach to contemporary guitar with an international audience.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside his solo projects, Pierre Bibault\u00a0<strong>has collaborated with many prestigious ensembles and orchestras,<\/strong> including\u00a0<strong>Klangforum Wien,<\/strong> Ensemble 2E2M, InSoliTus, Sound Icon (Boston), Uproar (Wales), and the\u00a0<strong>Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting in 2018, he has been regularly invited by the\u00a0<strong>Ensemble Intercontemporain,<\/strong> collaborating with composers such as Olga Neuwirth, Rebecca Saunders, James Dillon, and Helmut Lachenmann. He has performed a repertoire ranging from Frank Zappa\u2019s psychedelic rock to film music, such as\u00a0<i>Die Stadt ohne Juden<\/i>\u00a0by Olga Neuwirth, recorded for Arte\/ZDF. In 2019,\u00a0<strong>he was the soloist for the French premiere of Hans Werner Henze\u2019s guitar concerto\u00a0<i>Ode an Eine \u00c4olsharfe<\/i>\u00a0at the Philharmonie de Paris,<\/strong> under the direction of Brad Lubman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017, Pierre Bibault has collaborated with Ensemble Variances, led by Thierry P\u00e9cou, exploring contemporary themes such as sustainable development.
