{"id":48329,"date":"2019-08-18T17:20:58","date_gmt":"2019-08-18T14:20:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musiccompetition.eu\/?p=48329"},"modified":"2026-03-07T14:13:50","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T11:13:50","slug":"dilbag-tokay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musiccompetition.eu\/zh\/dilbag-tokay\/","title":{"rendered":"Dilba\u011f Tokay (Istanbul, Turkey)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul State Conservatory<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dilbagtokay.com\/\"><strong>Dilba\u011f Tokay<\/strong><\/a> started studying the cello at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSFAU) Istanbul State Conservatory with Re\u015fit Erzin, and received her DMA from the same conservatory.<\/p>\n<p>She has worked with prominent cellists such as M. Khomitzer, N. Ullner, F. Berthold, A. Rudin and has given numerous recitals, chamber music concerts, and orchestral concerts as a soloist in Serbia, Sweden, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Spin, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Syria, India, and Brazil. Additionally, she has given masterclasses in Bulgaria, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, and Brazil as well as those in numerous cities of Turkey .<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, she has given masterclasses at various centers in Turkey, Bulgaria, Georgia, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, and Brazil. She was a jury member at international competitions in Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Finland, and Turkey. Since 1998, she has been giving concerts with pianist Emine Serdaro\u011flu as \u201cCelloPianoDuo.\u201d The duo has released the album \u201cTurkish Music for Cello and Piano\u201d through NAXOS, as well as three albums titled \u201cCello and Piano Works\u201c and \u201cDreamlike\u201d published by P\u00fcr Records on digital platforms like Spotify and iTunes.<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception back in 2020, Dilba\u011f Tokay has been giving concerts as a member of the cello quartet, Cello Paradiso. Their debut album \u201cCello Paradiso\u201d was released on Spotify, iTunes as well as other digital platforms. In additon to their album, The group also released a single; A cello quartet arrangement of, prominent Turkish pianist Faz\u0131l Say\u2019s \u201cKumru Ballad\u201d which was highly praised.<\/p>\n<p>Besides her stage performances, Dilbag Tokay is also engaged in advisory work as Arts &amp; Music Consultant and Organizer of IDEA Music. Furthermore, she is a member of \u201cENKA Stage Project\u201d Advisory Board, linked with ENKA Arts. At present, Dilbag Tokay works an Associate Professor at MSFAU Istanbul State Conservatuary.<\/p>\n<p>Tokay has been awarded numerous prizes for scholarly excellence from international competition bodies. Among these awards are the following: \u201cTeacher Award\u201d from the Haydn Young Musician Competition and \u201cDistinguished Cello Teacher Award\u201d from the Global Genius Music Competition in England; \u201cBest Cello Teacher Award\u201d from the International Antonio Janigro Violoncello Competition in Croatia; \u201cExcellence in Cello Education Award\u201d from the International German and Austrian Music Competition and \u201cTeacher Award\u201d The Sound of Time Competition in Bulgaria; \u201cExcellence in Cello Teaching Award\u201d from the International Young Musicians Competition in Italy; \u201cDistinguished Cello Teacher Award\u201d from the IMKA Competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina; \u201cHigh Honours Award\u201d from the International E-Muse Competition\u201d in Greece; and in Turkey, \u201cYear\u2019s Best Music Teacher Award \u201d from the renowned Andante Classical Music Awards.
