From the WORLD OPEN Stage to Cap Ferret
Larisa Mesarič’s Double Award Experience – France

The WORLD OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION is delighted to share the first part of the Double Award experience of Larisa Mesarič (Slovenia), Absolute Winner in the Flute nomination and Masters Final of the WORLD OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION 2025.

As part of the 2025 Prize Fund, Larisa received a Double Award — participation in two outstanding international music events: the Cap Ferret Music Festival in France and the Summer Music Academy Šibenik in Croatia.

Larisa’s first destination was the Cap Ferret Music Festival, held in France in July 2026.

During the festival, she had the opportunity to work with renowned flutist and professor Sandrine François, gaining new insights into flute playing and musical interpretation. Performing at the festival also gave Larisa valuable stage experience in a highly professional artistic environment.

The programme included several concerts each day, allowing participants to hear outstanding musicians, meet other talented young artists and experience the inspiring atmosphere of an international music festival.

Larisa described her experience at Cap Ferret as highly inspirational and praised both the artistic level and the excellent organization of the festival.

Reflecting on her experience, Larisa wrote:

“I would like to thank you so much for these two wonderful opportunities. The Cap Ferret Festival was so inspirational for me. It was a real pleasure to receive this award and to have these wonderful new experiences with your support.”

Larisa also expressed her special gratitude to Helene Berger, Artistic Director of the Cap Ferret Music Festival, for her warm welcome, kindness and dedication.

For the WORLD OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION, it is a great pleasure to see an award become a real opportunity for artistic development, international experience and new musical inspiration.

The Double Award journey continues in Šibenik, Croatia…
