Grzegorz Mańkowski (Warsaw, Poland)

Primary and Secondary School of Music, W. Lutosławski in Wołomin, PSM 1st degree no. 3 J. Zarębski in Warsaw and at the Primary Music School in Garwolin, Poland

Grzegorz Mańkowski – guitarist, conductor, arranger, music teacher. He graduated with honors from the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the guitar class of prof. Marcin Zalewski and in the field of symphonic and opera conducting under the supervision of prof. Szymon Kawalla.

Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture (2004) and the Mayor of Wrocław (2004). Winner of several top awards at numerous national and international guitar competitions, including: in Rewal (2002, 2004), Kielce (2004), Krynica (2009).

He has been actively involved in artistic activities for many years (including in a duet with the outstanding Polish violinist Maria Machowska). He collaborated as a guitarist and conductor with the National Philharmonic, the Sudeten Philharmonic and numerous artistic impresariates, performing in Poland and abroad (Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia).

For years, he has been actively involved in teaching at music schools in Warsaw and Mazovia, conducting guitar classes and music theory classes. Currently, he teaches the guitar class at the Primary and Secondary School of Music, W. Lutosławski in Wołomin, PSM 1st degree no. 3 J. Zarębski in Warsaw and at the Primary Music School in Garwolin.

He is the author of numerous arrangements for guitar, guitar ensembles and symphony orchestra.
