Double prize
Absolute winner in the category “Flute” and “Masters Final”, that is, the absolute winner of all competitive nominations and the entire music competition WORLD OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION 2025 – Mesarič Larisa (class of Kamplet Valerija, accompanist: Ivan Ferčič, Konservatorij za glasbo in balet Maribor, Slovenija).
Larisa, was awarded a double prize: participation in the Summer Music Academy Šibenik (Croatia) and the Cap Ferret Music Festival (France).
At the suggestion of our long-term partner and jury member, HELENA BERGER, received an INVITATION to the CAP FERRET MUSIC FESTIVAL (FRANCE), which will take place from July 4 to 11, 2026.
Also, at the suggestion of our jury member, Renata Penezić, received an INVITATION to the Summer Music Academy Šibenik (Croatia), which will take place from September 3 to 6, 2026.

Cap Ferret is a cape located in Southern part of the commune Lege-Cap-Ferret (Zhironda). Cape takes the form the scythe which separates the Atlantic ocean from Arkashon’s gulf. He is known as the place of rest for high French society and остается by fancy place for summer holiday.

Šibenik is a historic city on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, known for its authentic medieval architecture, a lively tourist and cultural center, which attracts numerous visitors during the summer with festivals, concerts and an authentic Dalmatian atmosphere.

Larisa Mesarič (Slovenia) is a 19-year-old flutist from Slovenska Bistrica. She began her musical journey in 2014 in the class of Franja Gomazand a year later continued her studies with Katja Drevenšek, and in 2020/2021 schoolyear with Bojana Rojko.
In this year she also successfully passed the entrance exam at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Maribor, where she studied in the class of Valerija Kamplet.

She is a laureate of numerous prestigious competitions, including a gold plaque and second prize at the TEMSIG Competition, first prize at the World Open Music Competition, and second prize at the Ars Nova International Competition in Trieste. In 2025, she achieved outstanding success as the absolute winner of the World Open Music Competition.
Larisa has performed at notable events such as the Salon of Music Artists within the Lent Festival and the Night of Slovenian Composers. She has also presented her own compositions at the Composers’ Concert organized by the Maribor Conservatory.
She has further refined her artistry through masterclasses with renowned professors across Europe. In recognition of her artistic achievements and contributions, she received the special Sozvočje Award in 2022.
The European Association of Music Teachers and Performers and the production agency MIR Production helps laureates promote their musical careers and professional growth. During this difficult period for the whole world, the WORLD OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION has become an opportunity for many musicians to express themselves, gain experience and develop in the performing arts.
