«EUROPE OPEN Online Music Competition» is a new format of an online competition, which is held in all nominations for soloists and groups.
The whole process and full information about the competition is posted ONLY on page «NEW FORMAT OF ONLINE COMPETITION» and has no connection with the «WORLD OPEN Online Music Competition».
Having familiarized yourself with the terms and conditions of the competition, you will understand that the «EUROPE OPEN Online Music Competition» competition is very convenient and practical for participation!
RULES FOR ALL NOMINATIONS (COLLECTIVES) «EUROPE OPEN Online Music Competition»
The competition «EUROPE OPEN Online Music Competition» is held entirely online, in the form of watching video recordings of participants’ performances by the jury. Performers from all over the world are invited to participate in the competition. The competition is held annually, applications are accepted 365 days a year.
«SMALL FORMS» DUET (two identical instruments), DUET (two different instruments), PIANO ENSEMBLE, STUDENT – TEACHER
«ENSEMBLE» (classical ensembles, folk ensembles) Piano, symphony orchestra instruments, folk orchestra instruments, brass orchestra instruments
«ORCHESTRA» Symphonic, chamber, string, brass, jazz, plucked, folk, accordion and accordion orchestra, orchestra conductor.
«CHOIR» Mixed, female, male, choir conductor
TIMETABLE
The participant chooses one of the seasons and sends an application.
SPRING SEASON: Applications are accepted until April 1. Results Announcement April 20
SUMMER SEASON: Applications are accepted until June 10. Results Announcement July 1
AUTUMN SEASON: Acceptance of applications until December 1. Results Announcement December 20

PROGRAM
The competition program includes two pieces of the participant’s choice. It is allowed to perform the parts (sonata, suite …) as two pieces. The program does not have to be performed by heart. The age category is determined by the average age of the participants.
JUNIOR
- I category – 7 years old and younger up to 5 minutes
- II category – 8, 9 years up to 5 minutes
MIDDLE JUNIOR
- III category – 10, 11 years up to 5 minutes
- IV category – 12, 13 years old up to 7 minutes
JUNIOR ARTIST
- V category – 14, 15 years up to 10 minutes
- VI category – 16, 17 years old up to 10 minutes
SENIOR ACADEMIC
- VII category – 18, 19, 20 years up to 12 minutes
- VIII category – 21, 22, 23 years old up to 12 minutes
SENIOR ARTIST
- IX category – 24, 25, 26 years up to 12 minutes
- X category – 27 and older up to 13 minutes

COLLECTIVES (ORCHESTRA)
Symphonic, chamber, string, brass, jazz, plucked, folk, accordion and accordion orchestra, orchestra conductor.
In the orchestras category, no more than 25% of illustrators from the total number of team members are allowed. The age category is determined by the average age of all participants, excluding the age of the illustrators, accompanists and conductor.

COLLECTIVES (CHOIR)
Mixed, female, male, choir conductor
In the choir nomination, no more than 25% of illustrators from the total number of members of the collective are allowed. The age category is determined by the average age of all participants, excluding the age of the illustrators, accompanists and conductor.
REPERTOIRE
Academic, spiritual, world, folk, opera music.

Free competition program up to 8 minutes. The program does not have to be performed by heart.

SENIOR ACADEMIC
- IV category – 18-26 years old
SENIOR ARTIST
- V category – 27 years old and older

VIDEO – RECORDING
- Competition video can be recorded without interruption or as a separate video for each piece,
- It is allowed to record two works made at different times,
- An amateur format is allowed subject to all other conditions of the competition,
- All members of the ensemble, orchestra, choir and conductor must be visible on the video.
CHOIR/ORCHESTRA CONDUCTOR
Video recording is carried out:
- from the orchestra, where the camera should be directed at the conductor and part of the orchestra is visible,
- on the left or right side behind the orchestra, where the camera should be directed at the conductor and part of the orchestra is visible.
From the orchestra, video recording only by the camera may not reflect the normal sound of the orchestra. Sound can be recorded using external sound recording equipment and synchronized with video.

The link (s) for downloading the video must be added to the application form. Links to videos on social media are not accepted. The video must be viewable by jury members without any restrictions.
Videos of the contestants are not published on the competition website, except for videos of the best participants’ performances combined into one video (the results of the competition).
APPLICATION
The participant sends the following documentation ONLY to the email address admin@musiccompetition.eu
- Completed application,
- Scanned birth certificate or passport page with the details of the competitor (duets) and a list of participants, with their dates of birth (ensembles / collectives) and with the stamp of the institution representing,
- Confirmation of payment.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
Participants pays a fee of 30 euros from the team. Commission and translation costs are paid by the competitor. DETAILS
INTERNATIONAL JURY
The work of the jury is governed by the rules. Famous musicians, teachers, conductors and outstanding cultural figures are invited to the jury. The jury’s decision is final and not subject to appeal. Participants are judged based on the average score of the jury members:
- LAUREATE OF THE FIRST DEGREE is awarded to the participant who scored at least 90,00 / 100 points,
- THE SECOND DEGREE LAUREATE is awarded to the participant who scored at least 80,00 points,
- THE LAUREATE OF THE THIRD DEGREE is awarded to the participant who scored at least 75,00 points,
- A DIPLOMA is awarded to a participant who scored at least 70,00 points. The number of laureate diplomas is unlimited.
DIPLOMAS FOR COMPETITORS
All contestants receive diplomas after the end of each season in all nominations:

- To send diplomas with a “wet seal” by the postal service, you need to pay an additional 5 euros for the entry fee:

LETTERS OF APPRECIATION FOR PORTFOLIO TO TEACHERS
Letters of appreciation in electronic form for all teachers and accompanists can be downloaded 15 days after the announcement of the results of each season in all nominations.
PRIZE FUND
The prize fund consists of the following awards:
- All contestants are awarded with diplomas,
- All teachers and accompanists are awarded with letters of appreciation,
- Travel costs, entrance fee for participation in a master class or hotel accommodation at one of the most prestigious competitions in Europe are paid by the organizer,
- All nominations winners do not pay a fee for participation in the next competition,
- Invitation to the jury of the competition,
- State, commercial and public organizations, enterprises, sponsors, individuals, in agreement with the organizer, can establish special prizes and awards.
The organizer reserves the right to distribute the prize fund.
ORGANIZER
The Association of Teachers of Music Institutions of Serbia and the production center MIR Production, with the support of the Ministries of Culture and Communications, are organizing a distance competition «EUROPE OPEN Online Music Competition».
GENERAL INFORMATION
In case of disagreement between the Organizer and the participant, the rules in English are considered competent.
By taking part in the competition, the contestants automatically waive their rights to material compensation in connection with the publication and distribution of the contest video recordings.
By submitting an application for the competition, participants automatically agree to all the conditions from the above rules.
