Absolute winner in the HARP category and participant in the Masters Final, Aleksandra Radovanovic, class of Dijana Sretenovic, prof., Mokranjac Music School from Belgrade, Serbia!

The final stage of the Masters Final was attended by 24 contestants, winners of their nominations (soloists, duets, ensembles, orchestras and choirs) from 9 countries (Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Spain, Russia, Armenia, Serbia). 15 participants from 8 countries (Slovenia, Poland, Indonesia, China, Russia, Belarus, Serbia and England) competed in the ARFA 2023 competition. Competitors in the HARP category were evaluated by an international jury from China, Bulgaria and Serbia. All jury members – harpists (100%) – work in state musical institutions and have extensive teaching experience!

Alexandra Radovanovic, as a participant in the Masters Final, at the suggestion of our long-term partner and jury member, HELENA BERGER, received an INVITATION to the  CAP FERRE MUSIC FESTIVAL  (FRANCE), which will be held from July 6 to 13, 2024!

Here are impressions from Aleksandra Radovanovic…

Apart from invitation to Cap Ferret Music Festival, I was also awarded with masterclasses held by Lisa Tannenbaum. This festival was an amazing experience. I’ve spend such a wonderful time there, listening the concerts and meeting musicians, young talents and volunteers. This was an ideal opportunity for me to see how music festivals looks like beyond Serbia and how much you can do in such a short period of time.

Classes with Lisa were so interesting. I liked the way she thinks and how much she knows about history of harp along with harpists and their techniques. On top of that she is an wonderful person.

I have played at four concerts there, including my solo concert which was held on a first day of festival at Chapelle de L’Herbe. 

Except that, I have also played in duo and quartet with other harpists from Syria, France, Italy.

My favorite concert was definitely the one held at Notre Dam Des Flots. It was actually a concert of amazing tenor and baritone, Jeremy Duffau and Laurent Arcarao and my performance was an introduction to their concert. Apart from that, this concert was also followed by French Journalists and their critics about my performance were positive and were published 

I would like to thank Organizers of World Open Music Competition for such a valuable competition and especially to thank Helene Berger for her invitation and such wonderful time and experience I gained.

Cap Ferret is a cape located in Southern part of the commune Lege-Cap-Ferret (Zhironda). Cape takes the form the scythe which separates the Atlantic ocean from Arkashon’s gulf. He is known as the place of rest for high French society and остается by fancy place for summer holiday.
