World Open Online Music Competition is held completely online, in such form where the jury views of video recordings of participants' performances. Performers from all over the world are invited to participate in the competition. The competition is held annually, applications are accepted 365 days a year.

The competition is held annually. Applications are accepted 365 days a year. The competitors selects one (or more) of three editions and sends an application. Participants playing instruments may perform as soloists or as part of ensembles.
SPRING EDITION
GROUP I
Deadline for Applications: March 15 / Announcement of Results: April 01

The recording must be a single continuous shot without any editing, pausing, or cuts. On the recording, performer(s), must be clearly seen (soloist, duo, ensemble).
Option 1: Oral Identification
- Start the recording.
- The participant:
– Soloist or duo must state their first name, surname, year of birth, and the name of the competition.
– One of the member of ensemble says the name of ensemble, their age category, and the name of the competition.
- Perform the program.
- Stop the recording.
*The participant (soloist) can say the name of the competition and only WORLD OPEN (but in this case only participant in younger categories). Participants in the oldest category do not have to say their year of birth.
Option 2: Visual Identification (Poster)
If a poster is displayed, an oral presentation is not required (soloist).
- Start the recording.
- At the beginning of the video, the participant (soloist) must display for 3–5 seconds “clearly legible” (held in hand or placed on a music stand) a printed sheet of paper (A4 size, bold font) or a clear poster containing the following information:
– First and Last Name (in English block letters), Year of Birth, Name of the competition (WORLD OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION)
- Perform the program.
- Stop the recording.
Additional video recording information for ORCHESTRA AND CHOIR CONDUCTOR
Video recording can be made:
- from orchestra. Camera must be directed to conductor, and a part of orchestra must be seen.
- from left or right sides of the orchestra. Camera must be directed to conductor and a part of the orchestra must be seen.
From an orchestra recording only a video camera may not reflect the normal sound of the orchestra. The sound can be recorded using external recording equipment and synchronized with the video.

PROGRAM
The competition program includes two (preferably diverse) compositions of the participant’s choice.
Program is to be performed by heart and completely (soloist). Duos and ensembles are not obligated to perform compositions by heart. It is allowed to perform parts (sonata, variations, suite…) as two pieces. In the younger categories, 88-key weighted digital piano performance is allowed.
Age category is defined by average age of all participants.

MASTERS FINAL
The first-prize laureate with the highest overall score in their respective discipline across all three editions (Spring, Summer, and Winter) qualifies for the Masters Final.
The Jury shall select the Absolute Winner of the Masters Final, who will be recognized as the overall winner of all competition disciplines and the entire competition season. Official Announcement: December 25, 2026.
All contestants receive certificates after the end of each edition in all nominations:
A total of $5,000 in prize money will be distributed as follows:
- 2/3 of the fund: Awarded to selected absolute winners of the WORLD OPEN, EUROPE OPEN and AMERICAN OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION.

Language and Disputes
In the event of any dispute or inconsistency between the Organizer and the competitors, the English version of these Rules shall prevail.
Media Rights and Compensation
By participating in the competition, contestants irrevocably waive any right to financial or material compensation regarding the publication, broadcast, or distribution of their competition video recordings.
Acceptance of Rules
By submitting an application, participants acknowledge that they have read and fully accept all terms and conditions set forth in these Rules.
The WORLD OPEN Online Music Competition is organized by the European Association of Music Educators and Performers, in partnership with the MIR Production Agency. The competition is officially supported by the Ministries of Culture and Communications.
The competition is conducted in strict accordance with the Rules of Participation, proposed by the Expert Council and officially adopted by the Assembly of the Association.
Article 1.
Constitution, number and schedule of Jury members of competition disciplines and categories will be selected by Assembly of the The European Association of Music Educators and Performers (hereinafter refer to as: Association) on the proposition of experts committee.
Article 2.
Jury members will be selected out of renowned music educators, as well as performing artists, conductors and chamber musicians.
Article 3.
Jury is consisted of at least 3 members for each competition discipline.
Article 4.
President of the Jury is obligated, after obtaining final list of sum points from jury members for particular competition discipline, to check if evaluation from each member has been carried out according to the Rules on the work of Jury and, in cases of discrepancy, i.e. if president finds irregularities, to timely intervene.
Article 5.
Members of the Jury are obligated to:
- evaluate participants in accordance with Rules on the work of the Jury
- to input their evaluations into prescribed electronic individual specimen
- through the president of the Jury, to intervene in cases of irregularities in the work and discrepancies in Rules on the work of the Jury
Article 6.
The Secretary of the Jury is obligated:
- to review applications of the participants and to determine compliance with the Rules of WORLD OPEN Online Music Competition (hereinafter refer to as competition)
- to return incomplete documentation to the participant for corrections or additions
- to introduce jury members with Rules of competition and Rules of the work of the Jury
- to carry out correction of points (the least and the biggest displayed point), onto 4 points to the first next, and by dividing obtained sum by the number of jury members
- Pursuant to results lists, to calculate average, final evaluation (grade) for the competitor. Great point average is to be made with two decimal values. In utmost cases, when making decimals would exceed lower limit for awarding the prize, participant will get lower degree prize (for example, 89,99 is number of points for second prize, not for first)
- to input precisely filled in summary point lists from the jury members onto the website of the competition
- if observe any irregularities in the work of the jury or any technical discrepancies, to inform president of the jury and Organizational committee
- After finishing of competition category, to hand over Organizational committee with all printed individual as well as collective point lists of all jury members. This documentation is archived and kept permanently
Article 7.
Minute from final meeting of the Organizational committee is conducted by the secretary of the Association, who will enter all significant information and decisions made by the Organizational committee.
Article 8.
Electronic individual specimens – individual point list of the participants is consisted of:
- Name of the competition
- Competition discipline and category
- Ordinal number of the participant
- Surname and given name (title) of the participant
- Title of the institution, city and state
- Columns in which number of points will be entered by each jury member, individually
- Surname and given name of each jury member
- Date of announcing of the lists onto the website of competition
Electronic shared, collective specimens – common scorecard participants include:
- Name of the competition
- Competition discipline and category
- Ordinal number of the participant
- Surname and given name (title) of the participant
- Title of the institution, city and state
- Columns in which number of points will be entered by each jury member, individually
- Column in which grade point average will be entered
- Feature conquered with prizes
- Surname and given name of each jury member
- Date of posting on the website of competition
Article 9.
Jury members evaluate participants with points, from 65 to 100. Jury member will send individual electronic point list onto official e-mail address of the Organizer after finishing of evaluation of competition discipline.
Article 10.
It is allowed to exceed the time of competitive video recording in all categories up to one minute. If the time exceeds one minute, the jury will coordinate its actions with the organizer.
Article 11.
For the premier performance or performance of non-catalogued composition, it is necessary to deliver music scores of such composition using electronic mail.
Article 12.
Jury member does not evaluate the candidate whom he is relative with, or if there is relation teacher – pupil. Instead jury member, such candidate will be evaluated by his associate.
Article 13.
Competitors are qualified according to the average grade point of evaluations by the Jury. Number of awards (prizes) is not limited.

Article 14.
Soloist, duet, chamber ensemble, orchestra or choir with the best placement in the category (all three editions), which simultaneously won first prize, will be awarded with Diploma Online Music Champion of the World.
In case if several competitors – soloists in the category have same number of points, advantage will be given to younger competitor. In case if several participants in the different categories have the same number of points (without correction of points – Article 6, point 5), final decision on the placement the absolute winner in the nomination will be brought by the Jury.
In case if several duets, chamber ensembles, orchestras or choirs in their category or in the different categories have the same number of points (without correction of points – Article 6, point 5), final decision on the placement will be brought by the Jury.
Article 15.
Participant who is awarded with Diploma Online Music Champion of the World participates in Masters Finals.
In Masters Final, in addition to the absolute winner of the nomination (solo nomination), another contestant (soloist or ensemble) may participate on the recommendation of the jury members (in agreement with the organizer).
Participants of Masters Final are divided on two age categories: “Junior” – till 18 years old and “Senior” – after 18 years old. Jury selects Absolute Winner of Master Finals, i.e. absolute winner of all competition disciplines and the entire competition on December 25th.
Article 16.
A total of $5,000 in prize money will be distributed as follows:
- 2/3 of the fund: Awarded to selected absolute winners of the WORLD OPEN, EUROPE OPEN and AMERICAN OPEN MUSIC COMPETITION.
- 1/3 of the fund: Awarded to selected teachers for outstanding pedagogical excellence THIS PAGE
MIR Production reserves the right distribution of the prize pool.
Article 17.
Jury decisions are final and irrevocable.
Article 18.
By applying for the competition, participants automatically accept conditions from previous provisions of these Rules.
